Volleyball Competes at Victory Electric Tournament

The Eastern Arizona College volleyball team traveled to Dodge City, Kansas, for the Victory Electric Tournament, playing four matches over two days.

On August 29, the Lady Monsters opened with a 3-1 win over Barton Community College. Addison Hinckley led with 14 kills, while Rylee Pitney added 5 blocks and 4 service aces. Cale Torgerson recorded 17 digs. Later that day, Eastern swept Dodge City Community College 3-0, with Hinckley posting 8 kills, Pitney adding 5 blocks, and Kambria Maloy finishing with 22 digs.

The following day, Eastern battled to a 3-2 win over Lee College. Hinckley tallied 19 kills and 4 service aces, Hannah Pushckor had 6 blocks, and Maloy collected 23 digs. The final match of the tournament went to Miami Dade, with the Lady Monsters falling 0-3 despite strong efforts from Torgerson, who had 11 kills and 13 digs, and Pitney, who added 4 blocks.

Pitney and Maloy were both named to the All-Tournament Team.

Eastern will remain on the road this week, competing in a tournament in Odessa beginning September 5.
