Lady Monsters Dominate Justice University in 6-0 Shutout

Eastern Arizona College women's soccer delivered a complete performance Tuesday, Sept. 23, earning a 6-0 win over Justice University at home.

The Lady Monsters wasted no time getting on the board. In the 4th minute, Kaydence Wardell opened the scoring with a finish off Andrea Perez's pass. Perez added her own goal in the 11th minute, converting a setup from Lucy Potter to double the lead. EAC kept pressing, and in the 16th minute Wardell turned playmaker, feeding Kayme Smith for the team's third goal.

The second half brought even more offensive firepower. Wardell picked up her second assist of the night in the 66th minute, setting up Brynn Kelly for a 4-0 advantage. Four minutes later, Abbi Sanford provided the setup for Suika Shibutani, who buried her chance to make it 5-0. Rhona Brown capped the scoring in the 80th minute, finishing off a pass from Ariel Lindo.

With six different players scoring and five players collecting assists, the Lady Monsters displayed both depth and precision in their attack.

EAC looks to keep momentum rolling when they return to conference play at home on Saturday, Sept. 27, hosting Yavapai College at 4:30 p.m.
