Bio

Christopher Corona is entering his seventh year on staff at Eastern Arizona College, spending his first three seasons as an Assistant Coach for the Men’s Basketball program (2019–2022) before joining the Women’s Basketball program in 2022. He is now entering his fourth season as the Women’s Basketball Assistant Coach.

During his tenure, he has contributed to multiple championship teams—highlighted by the Men’s Region 1 title in 2020 and the Women’s ACCAC, Region, and District Championships during the program’s historic 2023–25 run—and has helped develop numerous EAC student-athletes who have advanced to continue their playing careers at the next level.

Since joining the women’s program in 2022, Coach Corona has played a key role in one of the most successful stretches in program history. The Lady Monsters have earned:

  • ACCAC Championships: 2022–23, 2023–24

  • Region 1 Championships: 2022–23, 2024–25

  • West District Championship: 2022-2023, 2024–25

  • NJCAA Final Four appearances: 2023–24, 2024–25

The Lady Monsters finished the 2022–23 season with a 29-2 overall record and a 21-1 conference mark. In 2023–24, they claimed the ACCAC DI Conference Championship with a 27-3 conference record, a 30-6 overall record, and a run to the NJCAA National Final Four.

In 2024–25, Coach Corona helped guide Eastern Arizona to its second straight NJCAA Final Four, finishing 35-7 overall while capturing both the Region 1 and West District Championships.

Before joining the coaching staff at Eastern Arizona College, Christopher graduated from Duncan High School, where he lettered in five sports (basketball, football, baseball, tennis, and golf). He went on to play one year of basketball at EAC under Coach Maurice Leitzke before serving a mission for his church.

Christopher holds a bachelor's degree in Sports Psychology from Grand Canyon University.
