Kevin Kimball joined Eastern Arizona College as Head Baseball Coach in July 2022 and is entering his fifth season leading the Gila Monsters. He brings more than 25 years of collegiate coaching experience, including his longest tenure at Phoenix College. Kimball holds a Master’s degree in Sports Management from Southern Illinois University and a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Northern Colorado. He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

Since taking over the program, Coach Kimball has overseen a significant resurgence of EAC Baseball. In his first season, the Gila Monsters posted their best overall record since 1999 and recorded the program’s most conference victories since 2002. Under his leadership, Eastern Arizona has established sustained success, producing three consecutive winning seasons, including the 2025-2026 season—the first time the program has accomplished that feat since its reinstatement in the 1990s.

Beyond on-field success, Kimball has emphasized excellence in the classroom. During the 2025-2026 academic year, his team earned a cumulative 3.19 GPA, and numerous student-athletes have continued their academic and athletic careers at NCAA Division I and Division II institutions.

Coach Kimball remains committed to building a championship-caliber culture while developing student-athletes who excel both on the field and in the classroom.
