Monsters, Lady Monsters Sweep CSN in Home Wins

The Eastern Arizona College men's and women's basketball teams delivered a home sweep over the College of Southern Nevada on Tuesday night, Jan. 21, inside the Guitteau Gymnasium.

Men's Basketball: Monsters 96, CSN 74

The EAC men's basketball team put together a strong offensive performance to earn a 96–74 victory over CSN.

Ryan Hunt dominated the floor with a game-high 33 points and 12 rebounds, powering the Monsters on both ends of the court. Kahu Treacher followed with a well-rounded performance, contributing 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists, while Brad Ballinger added 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists to round out the balanced scoring effort.

Eastern Arizona controlled the tempo throughout the contest, using efficient shooting and aggressive defense to pull away and secure the home win.

Women's Basketball: Lady Monsters 68, CSN 31

The Lady Monsters continued their impressive season with a 68–31 victory over CSN, extending their win streak to 17 straight games.

Esmeralda Enriquez led the scoring attack with 13 points, while Danaeja Romero Ah Sam added 11 points of her own. Lucia Auza made her presence felt on both sides of the ball, finishing with five rebounds and four assists.

Eastern Arizona's defense set the tone early, limiting CSN's scoring opportunities and maintaining control throughout the game. The dominant performance further solidifies the Lady Monsters' position as the No. 2-ranked team in the NJCAA.
