Basketball Adds Two More Signees

The Eastern Arizona College men's basketball team has recently added two highly touted guards to their 2005 recruiting class.

The first of these two to sign was Terry Dunlap a 6-0 point guard from Chicago's South Shore High School. Dunlap led South Shore in three offensive categories on the year by averaging 16 points, 6 assists, and 6 rebounds while leading them to the Regional Championship game. In addition to his high school experience Dunlap played AAU basketball last summer for Mac Irvin's prestigious Illinois Fire team. Dunlap becomes the second Chicago land player to sign with the Gila Monsters this spring.

EAC also has signed Ervin Youmans from Hobbs, New Mexico. Youmans, a 5-10 guard comes to Eastern after one season with the UTEP Miners. Youmans saw limited action as a freshman for a high powered UTEP team that advanced to the NCAA tournament and finished the year 27-8. In high school, Youmans was a part of three straight state championships and ended his career as the leading scorer in the history of New Mexico High School Basketball.
