Monsters Cruise By Grand Canyon JV

The first game of the Fourth Annual Eastern Arizona College Thanksgiving Classic saw Arizona Western defeat Clark College 101-78. After leading 41-28 at the break, AWC exploded for 60 second half points and only once saw their lead dip under ten points. Western was led in scoring by Sean Imadiyi's 22 points and Clark was led by Orlando Westbrooks 18.
The nightcap saw host Eastern Arizona College cruise to a 95-41 victory over Grand Canyon JV. EAC began the game slowly and saw the score tied at 13 all six minutes in but then took over the game by ending the half on a 35-8 run to build a 48-21 lead at the break. The game was never in question in the second half as the Gila Monsters emptied the bench much of the final twenty minutes.
Eastern placed four players in double figures led by 6-8 freshman forward Jonathan Scott's 20 points. Nikola Kecman added 13, freshman guard Brad Voight scored 12 connecting on four three's and Roman Andrade chipped in with 11.
EAC moves to 4-1 on the season and will play their last game before beginning the ACCAC season Saturday night when they conclude the Thanksgiving Classic by hosting Clark College. Game time is set for 7:30 MST and all of the action can now finally be heard live via the internet at www.swsn.net.
