Monsters Hold Off Glendale
Thatcher, AZ --
The Eastern Arizona College basketball team struggled Saturday night but came away with a 72-57 home win over Glendale.
EAC looked as if they might run away with the game at the beginning as they jumped to a 12-0 run and led by as many as 13 with seven minutes left in the half but GCC ended the half on a 17-3 spurt to take a 30-29 lead into the break. The second half saw Glendale continue their hot shooting and pushed their lead to as many as six points when they took a 50-44 advantage with ten minutes left in the game. EAC then ended the game the way it began outscoring Glendale 28-7 to escape with the win.
EAC placed three players in double figures led by Marcus Palmer's 27 points. Vladimir Bulut added 17 and Gabor Boros chipped in with 13. Palmer led the Monster rebounding attack with 11 and Boros, Jordan Jamestown, and Dontae Bryant all passed out five assists.
