Eastern Defeats Central

The Eastern Arizona College basketball team returned to the win column on Wednesday night when they defeated Central Arizona 72-57 at home in Thatcher.
The game was tight for much of the first half before EAC went on a 13-0 run over the last three minutes to take a 34-25 lead into the break. Central cut the margin to as few as five at the start of the second half but Eastern then slowly built the lead to twenty and then held on for the victory.
Four Gila Monsters scored in double figures led by Jordan Jamestown's 16 points. Will Bynum added 14, Marcus Palmer 13, and Dontae Bryant had a season best 12 points off the bench. Gabor Boros added eight points and a game high nine assists and Bynum led the rebounding with six. After a rough shooting outing in their last game EAC torched the nets at a 66% clip from the field, 57% from 3 and 82% from the foul line.
EAC (17-5, 12-3) will go on the road for their next two games starting this Saturday when they travel to Scottsdale.
