Monsters Win at Pima
Tucson, AZ --
The Eastern Arizona College basketball team went on the road Wednesday night and came away with another impressive ACCAC win by defeating Pima College 80-60.
EAC led wire to wire, avoiding their recent trend of a slow start. At half time the Monsters led 34-27. The defense turned to offense in the second half as Eastern pushed the lead to double figures within the first few possessions. A 13-2 run midway through the half extended the lead to 20 and EAC cruised the rest of the way.
Eastern placed three players in double figures led by Marcus Palmer who scored 21 points while grabbing a game high 10 rebounds. Gabor Boros scored 18 and Vladimir Bulut chipped in with 11, EAC received excellent contributions from their bench as Skylar Whitfield came in to score nine points and pass out four assists and Will Bynum scored seven to go along with four rebounds, four assists, and four blocked shots.
